Radio Canada

Giselle's parents were visiting last week. We took them up to Niagara Falls this weekend as neither they nor Giselle had seen it. Depending on who's list you look at, Niagara Falls is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World (or so says the Niagara Falls tourism board).

I'd seen the falls about 10 years ago and for some strange reason when I saw it again, it seemed smaller somehow. Maybe it's just because it doesn't have the impact of novelty or it was bigger in my memory like your childhood playground is bigger in your mind than in person.

By the way, I found out that there IS a Canadian law the requires 35% of radio broadcasts to include Canadian content and 65% Candadian content on French Canadian radio staitons.

Chinese in Space

Giselle's parents have come in from San Francisco for a visit and brought the weather with them. It's been raining non-stop for the last week (well not quite non-stop but it feels that way.)

I'm coming off of a very busy week last week when I was in the middle of helping on a pitch. But my boss' have taken the lead on it and so now I can concentrate on more day-to-day work. Which is good because my group is a little short handed either out sick or due to the Jewish New Year.

P.S. Because you've asked, here is a shot of the new apartment.

Screw Expedia

Long time no hear. If you didn't know, Giselle and I moved to our new apartment last month. Screw the bubble, we bought a loft co-op in the old ExLax factory in Brooklyn.

So between the packing for the move, the move itself and the weeks unpacking, and my mom coming over to visit for a few weeks, I haven't had the opportunity to work on my cartoon.

Anyway, I'm back and we're very happy in our home. Pictures and such to come.

P.S. Don't use Expedia.com to buy your tickets. I got screwed over by Expedia.com when their system didn't validate my flight change and now American Airlines won't issue me a credit towards a new flight. So I lost the entire cost of the tickets! Worse yet, I spoke with a supervisor at Expedia who refused to speak to American on my behalf even when I asked him to stay on a 3-way call with me. Dick!
